Vince Zampella, Dies in a Los Angeles Car Crash
Vince Zampella, renowned for co-creating the wildly popular franchise Call of Duty, has passed away in a traffic collision in Los Angeles, California aged 55.
The tragic news was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, a game studio which he helped establish.
The renowned industry figure died after his vehicle was involved in a crash and caught fire on a freeway in LA on Sunday, US media outlets report.
"We are facing a heartbreaking loss, and our deepest sympathies go to Vince's family, his loved ones, and the countless individuals inspired by his work," an official with Electronic Arts said.
